LXST (Lightweight Extensible Signal Transport) is a simple and flexible real-time streaming format and delivery protocol that allows a wide variety of implementations, while using as little bandwidth as possible.

Some use cases include real-time voice communication, media streaming, broadcast radio, public address systems.cite-ref-1[1]

Current status

While it is in a very early alpha state, it is already in use by Sideband, MeshChatX, Columba and other apps.
